Financial assistance, employment support and general welfare support to the Armed Forces Community within Scotland. This includes serving personnel, veterans, their spouses and dependants.

Help offered

Tailored Support and Funding We deliver tailored support and funding to members of the Armed Forces community through our Grants scheme. Our grants are wide-ranging and can cover areas such as home repairs or adaptations, replacement household goods and clothing. Employment In addition, Poppyscotland have a range of Employment Services which can provide funding towards the cost of re-training, residental employment courses aimed at helping individuals back into meaningful employment and tailored mental health support through a programme called Employ-Able which is delivered through SAMH (Scottish Association of Mental Health). Poppyscotland also have a Welfare Support Service Advice Poppyscotland believes that knowing where to turn for advice when times are tough is key to a better future. With so many different organisations out there, knowing where to start can sometimes seem daunting and confusing. Trying to solve your own troubles, or ignoring the warning signs until a problem becomes a crisis, is remarkably commonplace – but it doesn’t have to be. Our advice services will point you in the right direction, whether it’s for financial solutions, employment help, housing hints or more. Welfare Support Service Our Welfare Support Service aims to provide one to one support to veterans and their families on a local capacity. Our team consists of Welfare Support Officers and Independent Living Advisors who are based across Scotland in the hope that we can reach a wider range of individuals.
